antonio di maro & partners started the project by reseaching the backround of the building, in terms of its historic and architectural value, as well as its structural composition. after observing the site and the pre-existing building, the architects were able to redesign the interior of the palazzo, while preserving and highlighting elements that showcase the beauty of the original architecture character. through specific and creative operations, a ‘sui generis‘ result was achieved.
the ‘champagneria’ includes some rooms dedicated to beverage tasting, that were completely reconstructed, as restoration was not possible due to excessive degradation. however, the design still features details that reveal the historic beauty of the building. the renovation was carried out in such a way that emphasizes the deep-rooted relationship of the palazzo with its surroundings. all things considered, palazzo de franciscis provides an experience that combines the worlds of gastronomy and arts.
