along a thin road in prague’s historically significant area of jinonice, atelier 111 architekti presents a private sythesis of contemporary geometries. the slanting nursery site on which the venture is arranged expands out to make a little square with a well, and had been once in the past involved by a deserted and weather beaten house contained a slow expansion of masses. the atelier 111 jinonice family home is expressive of the customary morphological language of the locale, portrayed to a great extent by stucco-completed legacy structures with earthenware tiled pitched rooftops.
the plan of the family house in jinonice by atelier 111 architekti saves just the most seasoned stone components of the first memorable structure. these held components are arranged towards the road and host the passage toward the principle living space which involve the two new volumes. while the entirety of the living regions, including youngsters’ rooms at the top generally level, have an immediate association with the slanting nursery which is both lit up by characteristic daylight and is protected from the road by the mass of the house.
from the road, both the old and the new development are outwardly brought together by the outside finish. the two areas share the shade of the stucco mortar and basic beaver tail earthenware tiles along the rooftop. while the age of the individual components is uncovered through their conventional enumerating, the first memorable compositional language offers an unobtrusive diverge from the white-washed contemporary moderate structures which make up the perfect, created geometries.
