launched on april 14, 2020, the 9th next landmark international contest calls for the redesign of the garden and outside space of the casa coccapani nursery school in modena, italy. concepts should focus on the quality of space, the relationship between the individual and their surroundings, and ensure beauty, sharing and accessibility for its young guests. as part of a larger renovation, the designs should also consider the wider urban redevelopment of the area. most importantly, though, the submissions should encompass the ideas of sustainability, growth and learning overall.
the call for submissions invites young architects and designers to take on this challenge. all entrants must have graduated between 2010 and 2020.
submissions to the 9th next landmark international contest closes on may 30, 2020, here, with the winning design announced on june 12. the winner will be awards with a scholarship for a master’s degree in sustainable design at SOS – school of sustainability in bologna, italy.
the laureate will be decided by a jury panel including federica minozzi, CEO of the multinational iris ceramica group; architect mario cucinella, founder of MCA architects; massimo imparato, director of SOS school of sustainability; paolo schianchi, lecturer in visual communication and interaction design at the istituto universitario pontificio salesiano, venice; francesco tosi, mayor of fiorano modenese; and don antonio lumare, parish priest in fiorano modenese and president of foundation coccapani.
